What is an AC Float Switch?

AC Float Switches, also referred to as AC Safety Switches or Condensate Overflow Switches, are used to prevent the AC drainpipe from overflowing. This electronic system allows your AC system to detect if there is a clogged drain or an overflow and cause the system to shutoff to prevent leaks from occurring. Periodic maintenance is recommended for drain lines and drain pans to prevent overflows and leaks from occurring because overtime, dirt and other debris can accumulate and cause the drain line to clog.
